MVPFAFF+ is a term coined by community activist Phylesha Brown-Acton in 2011 to honor and center the diverse traditional Pacific cultural identities that do not easily translate into Western concepts like LGBTQ+. The acronym represents Māhū, Vakasalewalewa, Palopa, Fa'afafine, Akava'ine, Fakaleitī, Fakafifine, and other gender-diverse and sexuality-diverse Pacific identities.

This shirt is a celebration of our ancestors, cultures, and communities. It recognizes that Queer and Trans Pacific people have always existed and continue to thrive across our Moana. By wearing this shirt, you are affirming the visibility, dignity, and resilience of MVPFAFF+ people while honoring the rich cultural traditions that have sustained us for generations.
